The monotonous grind shields our eyes from wreckage

The hammer was too tempting though

A shade of black, a tint of white

Twisted tongue falls short of wire-cutters

We were all kites on a summer breeze

The chewed fingers bleed away the motives
You lay on cushions that are metaphoric spikes
